Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

While Timothy Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 57-38 victory over the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Falcons are ranked 563rd).

The win made it two in a row for Timothy Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Timothy Christian will take on Andrew in a holiday battle at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parkview Christian Academy and Wheaton Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
