Great Bend was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against East on Saturday. The Panthers never let the Blue Aces get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Braelyn Turner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Turner was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Katherine Mazouch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Baze Hogan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Great Bend was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Great Bend's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Great Bend is taking a road trip to face off against Hays at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.4, the Indians 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for East, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against North at 5:00 p.m. The Blue Aces will need to watch out since the RedHawks have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
