Baseball Recap: Williams Has No Trouble Against Caldwell Academy

On Thursday, the Williams Bulldogs made easy work of the Caldwell Academy Eagles and carried off a 12-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Vince Coker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Will Allen was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hunter Daniels, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Williams' record now sits at 2-0.

Williams wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-3 win against Eastern Guilford on the 28th. As for Caldwell Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 21-4 victory against Coastal Christian on the 28th.
