Basketball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

Cameron lost against Lafayette back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cameron Dragons were beaten by the Lafayette Fighting Irish 65-22. The matchup marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Cameron and nudges their season record down to 7-17. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 14-6 Benton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.1% over those games). As for Lafayette, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Coming up, Cameron will venture away from home to square off against Bishop LeBlond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will face off against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
