Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Panthers vs. Eagle's View Warriors

The Ridgeview Panthers will head out to square off against the Eagle's View Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Eagle's View took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgeview, who comes in off a win.

Ridgeview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Baldwin 61-28. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Nacoya Blocton and Narissa Blocton were among the main playmakers for Ridgeview as the former went 8 for 17 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists and the latter went 8 of 20 en route to 19 points along with five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Narissa a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rayes, who posted nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Ridgeview was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 62 points the game before, Eagle's View was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were outmatched by Ribault and fell 64-25.

Eagle's View's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Ridgeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Everything went Ridgeview's way against Eagle's View in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, as Ridgeview made off with a 51-30 win. Will Ridgeview repeat their success, or does Eagle's View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
