South Dearborn comes up short despite Brodie Teke's dominant performance

Recap: South Dearborn Knights vs. Switzerland County Pacers

The South Dearborn Knights pushed their score all the way to 72 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Switzerland County by a score of 74-72. South Dearborn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Switzerland County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, South Dearborn still got an impressive performance from Brodie Teke, who went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 6 assists. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Scout Gray, who scored 18 points along with three steals.

Even though they lost, South Dearborn were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Switzerland County only posted 11 assists.

Cam Craig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Switzerland County, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Craig has scored at least 25% of Switzerland County's points. Kadyn Riley was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.

South Dearborn's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Switzerland County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

South Dearborn will face off against Rising Sun at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Rising Sun focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. As for Switzerland County, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Lawrenceburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Thursday.
