Volleyball Recap: Abundant Life Beats Williams Bay for Their Third Straight Victory

Abundant Life entered their tilt with Williams Bay on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The Challengers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Abundant Life took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-5.

Jada Grimes was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven aces and three assists. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Sarah Rae also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Abundant Life was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.

Abundant Life's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Williams Bay, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Abundant Life didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cochrane-Fountain City on the 12th. As for Williams Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Deerfield on the 16th.
