Football Recap: Central Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lely

Central extended their postseason success on Thursday against Lely. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-30 victory over the Trojans. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 38 points or more this season.

Lely lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brady Quinn, who threw for 384 yards and two TDs. Nino Joseph helped Quinn out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards and one score, while also picking up 50 receiving yards.

The win was the seventh in a row for Central, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Lely, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 50-29 defeat against Northwestern on the 29th. Lely does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
