It was a good run, but Madisonville unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to the Palestine Wildcats 41-37. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 43-36.

Madisonville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for Palestine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-17.
