Baseball Recap: Southeastern Local Takes a Loss

Fairlawn hit Southeastern Local with a six-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Jets. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Southeastern Local saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Mayabb, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Mayabb has hit this season. Another was Jake Alderson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Southeastern Local's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Fairlawn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeastern Local will take on Newton Local in a tournament on Thursday. As for Fairlawn, they will venture away from home to square off against Bradford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
