Soccer Game Preview: Mitchell vs. Olympic Heights

The Mitchell Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Olympic Heights Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mitchell comes in on five and Olympic Heights on eight.

Mitchell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Lakewood Ranch. Adam Naim had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Mitchell.

Meanwhile, Olympic Heights kept a clean sheet against St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The Lions found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: three Olympic Heights players were handed yellow cards.

Mitchell's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Olympic Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
