Murphy dropped their record down to 9-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Franklin Panthers by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.
Julia Dockery was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Franklin, they will face off against North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
