Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Horn couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-0 to the Harker Heights Knights on Friday. The Jaguars' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Hailey Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Horn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoie Armstrong, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Armstrong has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Horn's loss dropped their record down to 22-10-1. As for Harker Heights, their record now sits at 21-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Horn beat the Knights by a score of 18-3 later that day.
