Basketball Recap: Belleview Drops Season-High Score on North Marion

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belleview). They were the clear victor by a 62-39 margin over the North Marion Colts on Thursday. The Rattlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Cami Satterfield continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Belleview's points. Briyanna Miles was another key player, putting up 15 points along with five assists and three steals.

Belleview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive matchups.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was KANARA GORDON, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Belleview is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points per game. As for North Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Belleview has already played their next contest, a 67-32 defeat against Buchholz on the 18th. As for North Marion, they will head out to challenge Belleview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
