Basketball Recap: Bulkeley Takes a Loss

Bulkeley lost against Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulkeley Bulldogs lost 36-13 to the Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kendall Hawkins, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Hawkins is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Anyiah Crump was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and four steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bulkeley and Hartford Public will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Whitney RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
