Baseball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Upper Perkiomen ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 20th.

Upper Perkiomen saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Godshall, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Godshall a new career-high. Another was Nathan Schramm, who went 1-for-2 with three runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Upper Perkiomen and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Owen J. Roberts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
