Basketball Recap: Cranston West Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cranston West can now relate to. They were beaten by the East Greenwich Avengers 50-19 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Greenwich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rees Maccarone, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Glynn, who earned 14 points.

Cranston West's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for East Greenwich, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.

Cranston West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Greenwich, they will challenge South Kingstown on Friday. One thing working in South Kingstown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
