Softball Game Preview: Ford Panthers vs. Ferris Yellowjackets

The Ford Panthers will take on the Ferris Yellowjackets in a tournament on Saturday. Ford is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ford faced off against Onalaska on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 15-0. Considering the Panthers have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ford got a massive performance out of Kaelynn Medina, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. What's more, Medina posted two runs, the most she's had over her last 12 contests. Another player making a difference was Payton Perez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Ford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Ferris lost 7-1 to Ennis on Friday. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Ford's win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Ferris, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
