Penn extended their postseason success on Thursday against Elkhart. They blew past the Lions 10-0. Considering the Kingsmen have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Penn got a great performance from Olivia Signorino as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Signorino has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ava Zachary was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Rumble, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Penn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.
