Baseball Recap: Burke Comes Up Short

Burke was the 12-5 winner over Kearney when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Burke saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Pickett, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Burke has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Kearney, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9.

As of now, neither Burke nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
