Basketball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leuzinger Olympians on Monday.

When it comes to explaining why King lost, don't look at Joshua Ajayi. Despite the final result, he went 11-for-23 on his way to 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chukwuma Ezinwa, who posted 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leuzinger to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden McIntyre, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave McIntyre a new career-high. Jace Jones was another key player, putting up 16 points.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-47 victory against Victor Valley on the 18th. As for Leuzinger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-36 win against Poly on the 18th.
