Basketball Recap: Irving Takes a Loss

Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 70-48 to Rustin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Irving this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-59 back in December of 2024.

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Rustin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Irving will host Bergtraum at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bergtraum will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Irving surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rustin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-52 loss against Graphics on the 10th.
