Soccer Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

If Pleasant Grove was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Chapel Hill last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pleasant Grove Hawks took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paris Wildcats on Friday. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Pleasant Grove's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6-2. As for Paris, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will challenge Sulphur Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sulphur Springs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pleasant Grove surely won't give up without a fight. As for Paris, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Paris face off against the Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
