Legacy has gone 6-0 against Southeast Career Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Legacy Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners at 6:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Southeast Career Tech will be up against a hot Legacy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Legacy breezed by Eldorado to the tune of 80-13 on Wednesday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Firehawks are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alabama Nieves, who went 12 of 19 on her way to 29 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Nieves' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Laila Gines, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals.
Legacy was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Southeast Career Tech over Amplus Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Southeast Career Tech blew Amplus Academy out of the water with a 53-20 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Roadrunners had established a 28 point advantage.
Southeast Career Tech found their leader in sophomore Mila Vidacic, who went 6 for 15 en route to 16 points. Makensie Farthing was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards.
Legacy's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points per game. As for Southeast Career Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Legacy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58 points per game. It's a different story for Southeast Career Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 33.4 points. The only thing between Legacy and another offensive beatdown is Southeast Career Tech. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Legacy against Southeast Career Tech when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 65-19 victory. In that game, Legacy amassed a halftime lead of 41-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
