Volleyball Recap: Jahnvi Dhillon Key Part of Team Effort in Pride Win

Pitman extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Izabella Ziencina. The Pride were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Modesto Panthers on Thursday thanks in part to Ziencina, who had six digs and five aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pitman was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-13.

Pitman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jahnvi Dhillon, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Dhillon has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicoletta Dowd, who had three digs and two aces.

Pitman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Modesto, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-24.

Coming up, Pitman will take on Rio Americano at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Modesto, they will challenge Gregori at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
