Basketball Recap: West County Comes Up Short

West County managed to slip by DeSoto the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Dragons on Tuesday, falling 82-60.

West County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for DeSoto, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2026. As for DeSoto, they will square off against Herculaneum at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
