Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Bears vs. Portage Central Mustangs

The St. Joseph Bears will head out to take on the Portage Central Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

St. Joseph is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt an 84-57 defeat at the hands of Benton Harbor on Monday.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Portage Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Harper Creek by a score of 76-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Portage Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Things could have been worse for St. Joseph, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-46 loss to Portage Central in their previous meeting back in February. Can St. Joseph avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
