Lindale won the last time they faced Athens and things went their way on Friday too. The Lindale Eagles had just enough and edged the Athens Hornets out 4-3. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Lindale's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for Athens, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Lindale will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Cumberland Academy at 7:15 p.m. As for Athens, they will take on Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
