Basketball Recap: Cordia Comes Up Short

Cordia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 76-43 defeat at the hands of the Jenkins Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 106th).

Cordia's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Jenkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cordia will welcome Letcher County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jenkins, they will take on Jackson County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
