Soccer Recap: Godinez Fundamental Gets the Win

Godinez Fundamental's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past the Century Centurions 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Braulio Rodriguez and Sebastian Mejia scored both of Godinez Fundamental's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Godinez Fundamental has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Century, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Godinez Fundamental will welcome Santa Ana Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Century, they will venture away from home to challenge Calvary Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
