Volleyball Recap: Gabby Stangel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kewaunee over Peshtigo

Kewaunee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Peshtigo Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Kewaunee's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby Stangel, who had eight digs.

Kewaunee now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Peshtigo, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Kewaunee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against New London on the 11th. As for Peshtigo, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bonduel on the 11th.
