West Park is on a three-game streak of home wins, while McClatchy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Panthers will welcome the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Grant 34-2 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Dominique Basubas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Basubas was also big at the plate, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Those four hits gave Bowles a new career-high. Mady Schultze was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
West Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .605. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, McClatchy got the win against Cordova on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Jeneyse Morales was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayeliza Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
West Park is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for McClatchy, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. West Park hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like McClatchy struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Park suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to McClatchy when the teams last played on April 1st. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
