Baseball Game Preview: Dyersburg Trojans vs. Milan Bulldogs

Dyersburg is 0-9 against Milan since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Dyersburg didn't have quite enough to beat South Gibson and fell 6-5. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Milan suffered their closest defeat since April 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Peabody by a score of 7-5.

Kasen Yates was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Yates was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Colton Mallard and James Carter did some serious damage despite the final result: Mallard scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Carter scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Dyersburg's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Milan, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
