Basketball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

McFarland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the Jefferson Eagles at home by a 73-57 margin. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season.

McFarland will venture away from home to challenge Edgewood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Edgewood will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something McFarland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Whitewater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
