Softball Recap: West Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West can now relate to. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Eagles on Thursday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Shoppach, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Lexington, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-8.

As of now, neither West nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
