Football Recap: East Stroudsburg North Comes Up Short

East Stroudsburg North had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it five. They were dealt a 47-0 loss at the hands of the Liberty Hurricanes. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Liberty, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

It was another big night for Antonio Fontanez, who threw for 86 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played. Ahmir Middleton was in the mix too, providing Liberty with one score.

Coming up, East Stroudsburg North will square off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. The Timberwolves will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Liberty, they will take on Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
