Softball Recap: Umpqua Valley Christian Wins Going Away Against Elkton

Umpqua Valley Christian won the last time they faced Elkton and things went their way on Monday too. The Monarchs put the hurt on the Elks with a sharp 18-3 win. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by nine runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Umpqua Valley Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Elkton, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Umpqua Valley Christian will face off against rival Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Elkton is set to take on their familiar foe North Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
