Basketball Recap: Seminole Wins Going Away Against Winter Springs

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Seminole on Wednesday. They took down the Winter Springs Bears 63-49. That's more bragging rights for the Seminoles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Winter Springs had strong showings from William Sanders, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, and Jack Clark, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Chang, who put up seven points.

The victory got Seminole back to even at 9-9. As for Winter Springs, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Seminole will welcome Lake Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seminole knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lake Mary likes a good challenge. As for Winter Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winter Springs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
