Basketball Recap: Watertown Warriors vs. Torrington Raiders
Watertown lost against Torrington back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Watertown Warriors fell to the Torrington Raiders 53-47. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christopher O'Toole, who posted 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Platt, who earned ten points and five boards.
Adi Puskarevic was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 11 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds for Torrington. Another player making a difference was Logan Tucciarone, who scored seven points and six boards.
Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Torrington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Watertown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-49 defeat against Lakeview on the 3rd.
