Basketball Game Preview: Spruce Timberwolves vs. Wilson Wildcats

Spruce hasn't had much luck against Wilson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spruce Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Wilson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

Spruce is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 59-23 loss at the hands of West Mesquite.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Wilson's strategy against Samuell on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wilson blew Samuell out of the water with a 53-8 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.

Wilson pushed their record up to 18-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40 points. As for Spruce, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Spruce was dealt a bruising 74-7 defeat at the hands of Wilson in their previous meeting on January 3rd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wilson's Diana Jaimes, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds.
