Gainesville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Hurricanes were the better team in the second half.

Gainesville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for P.K. Yonge, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville will square off against Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for P.K. Yonge, they will challenge Interlachen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
