Notre Dame waltzed into their game on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came out on top against the New Fairfield Rebels by a score of 48-35. Given the Green Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Rebels are ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for New Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Notre Dame will face off against Hamden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Notre Dame likes a good challenge. As for New Fairfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-35 loss against Notre Dame Prep on the 21st.
