Baseball Recap: Barron Collier Takes a Loss

Barron Collier was the 4-0 winner over Bonita Springs when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Barron Collier Cougars fell just short of the Bonita Springs Bullsharks by a score of 6-5 on Thursday.

Jonathan Hernandez Carr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was John Minerva, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Barron Collier's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bonita Springs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Barron Collier will take on South Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Barron Collier has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bonita Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Southwest Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m.
