Baseball Recap: Fonda-Fultonville Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

After only two runs in their last match, Fonda-Fultonville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mekeel Christian Academy on Wednesday. The Valley Hawks blew past the Lions 15-0. With that win, the Valley Hawks brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Fonda-Fultonville got a massive performance out of Sam Huckans, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Huckans a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin Pickering, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Fonda-Fultonville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mekeel Christian Academy struck out nine times.

Fonda-Fultonville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mekeel Christian Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
