Basketball Game Preview: Alice Coyotes vs. Carroll Tigers

Alice is 0-4 against Carroll since November of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Alice Coyotes are taking a road trip to take on the Carroll Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Alice is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Miller on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Alice came up short against Miller, falling 66-42. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Meanwhile, Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 82-70 to Gregory-Portland. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 650th, while the Wildcats are ranked 219th).

Alice's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.

Alice came up short against Carroll in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 54-44. Can Alice avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
