Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 45-25 to the DSST: Montview Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-26 last Wednesday.

Mykah Rimpson was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double with ten points, 14 boards, and 16 steals for DSST: Montview. DSST: Montview is 14-2 when Rimpson posts five or more steals, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sa'Veyah Rogers, who posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for DSST: Montview, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-21 defeat against Thomas Jefferson on the 20th. As for DSST: Montview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-41 loss against Denver North on the 20th.
