Football Recap: Legacy Charter Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Legacy Charter's offense. They were outmatched by the Geneva Classical Academy Knights and fell 70-0. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Clay Lindsay was a one-man wrecking crew For Geneva Classical Academy. as he rushed for 63 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 148 yards and three TDs while completing 90% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Lindsay a new career-high in passer rating (168.8). Bennett Bayhan was another key player, gaining 106 total yards and two touchdowns.

Legacy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Geneva Classical Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Charter will venture away from home to challenge Oasis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Geneva Classical Academy, they will head out to take on Lakeside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
