Orange Beach came tearing into Thursday's match with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Jasper Vikings 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Makos, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

KG Favors made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Favors was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Hodo was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Katie King was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Orange Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Orange Beach pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Jasper, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Beach will welcome T.R. Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Orange Beach 1.1, T.R. Miller 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Jasper, they will host Mortimer Jordan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
