Basketball Recap: Alpharetta Takes a Loss

Alpharetta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Sequoyah Chiefs 88-55. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Chiefs are ranked 188th).

Alpharetta's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Sequoyah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Alpharetta and Cambridge will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Sequoyah, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Gwinnett at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Gwinnett is coming into the matchup with three straight victories on the road, so Sequoyah will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
