Volleyball Recap: Plainfield's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Plainfield's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Plainfield was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-21.

Plainfield had a senior duo take command as Shae Valentin had 19 digs and three aces and Ava Denome had ten digs and two aces. Valentin has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Plainfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they now also have a losing record of 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Plainfield will venture away from home to face off against Lyman Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they will head out to take on Killingly at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
